Urbanization Policy for Indigenous Peoples: A Case Study of Israel’s Negev Bedouins

The author summarizes the results of a case study undertaken by the author and colleagues in 2000 on urbanization policy. Findings indicate a significant policy failure, which is analyzed by the author. Since many similar policy failures occur with respect to other indigenous peoples, the lessons learned from this case study should be of wide interest.
