Planning Rights in Arab Communities in Israel: an Overview

The authors review the role and potential benefits of land, and argue that this issue is one of the root causes of the problems between the state and the Arab citizens living in Israel. The authors place the matter of planning rights squarely at the center of this debate by reviewing the unequal manner in which the state allocates space for Jews and for Arabs in Israel.
